John Maxwell-"Love the People First; Sell the Fish Second"

I read another one of John Maxwell's blogs about leadership. He said that he was in Seattle and had visited a fish market. He said that the thing that stuck out the most was when one of the fish guys said, "Love the people first; sell the fish second." I think this makes perfect sense because if the people you are trying to get to go along with you don't think you care, or love them, then they won't buy into your ideas no matter how much you know, which would make it impossible for you to "sell the fish." I think that this is very important for a leader to know because you have to have a good relationship with the people around you before you can expect them to follow and support you.
